Field Trip to Denai Alam Riding Club

During the March school holidays we had a fun filled field trip to the Denai Alam Riding Club.

As it was our first field trip of the year, the kids were naturally very excited to be going.

Add horses to the equation and you get DOUBLE the EXCITEMENT!

Upon arrival, we were brought straight to the stables where stable hand,Afiq briefed us on how to behave in the stables and around the horses.

.

The kids then tried their hand at grooming a horse,

and feeding the horses.

There were also horse and pony rides for all

Our Services

Our services are as follows:

· Baby Group

· Taska / Nursery Class

· Tadika /

Kindergarten Class

· Day Care

· After-School Enrichment Program

Baby Group

Our Baby Group Program is for children from 3 months to 2.5 years. The baby group program is a whole-day program from 8.30 am to 6.00pm everyday from Monday to Friday.

Our baby room is about creating nurturing loving relationships where the children feel safe and cared for. Bond and attachment are hugely important in a babies life. In our baby room, partnership with parents is very important. We respect and acknowledge that parents are the primary care giver to their children. We work with the parents to help each child learn and develop to the best of their ability.

Our baby room has materials that will help your baby develop all of their senses. The first three years are critical for developing the brain and language for each child and this starts in our baby room. Our baby room is full of ‘cause and affect’ toys, sensory toys and exploration toys. It is essential for each child to realise that they can ‘affect’ things at this age. It is the first step in realising that they can then ‘achieve’ and become independent and active learners.

Taska / Nursery Group

Our Nursery Program is designed for children from 2 1/2 to 4 years. The nursery program is conducted from 8.30 am to 12.30pm everyday from Monday to Friday.

We work with the children and help them grow to become

active explorers.

We understand that each child is a unique individual

and are at different stages of development, so our

objective is to not compare their abilities with one another, but to observe their interests and build them accordingly. So at the end of their preschool years they will have mastered what they like to do and achieve what they need to know to proceed to kindergarten.

Our nursery schoolers work every day to build the following:

  • Problem solving skills
  • Listening skills
  • Sharing skills
  • The importance of friendship
  • Communication skills
  • Respect for the environment
  • Respect for myself and others
  • The importance of my culture and community
  • How to learn from my mistakes
  • Empathy for others
  • How to discover and explore
  • How to create my own theories about how things work
  • Learn about the world I live in
  • How to play with other children
  • Respect choice and peoples rights

A typical preschool day consists of work and play.

Play can be indoor/outdoor and is done in the early morning. Work time is used for learning and exploring the different activities within the prepared environment which includes Exercise of Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, Writing, Science, Art, Story time, and Music & Movement..

Tadika / Kindergarten

"The child has reached a new level of development. Before he was interested in things: working with his hands, learning their names. Now he is interested mainly in the how and why... the problem of cause and effect."- Maria Montessori

Our Kindergarten Program is designed for children 5 - 6 years. The kindergarten program is conducted from 8.30 am to 12.30pm everyday from Monday to Friday.

Listed below are some of the lessons that are taught:

· Math / Numbers with quantities up to 1000, decimal system, fractions,

addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with 1, 2 and 3 digit numbers (static and dynamic).

Day Care

Creative Crayon Montessori Preschool also offers full time daycare for children in a warm, caring and educational environment. The Daycare Program hours are from 12pm to 6pm.

Children are given nutritious meals at lunch and for evening tea as well. After a brief nap, the students will resume Montessori activities using the materials. Through the continuous use of these materials, the children explore mathematical concepts, geographical relationships, and scientific ideas, and practice their hand/eye coordination when manipulating sensorial objects.

Older students practice their reading by selecting and reading books from our extensive children’s library and often read to the younger students as well. The children, who build linguistic, social and intellectual abilities during the day, reinforce these skills in the evening, in an enjoyable environment with their friends.

After-School Enrichment Program

The Enrichment classes are typically small-group one hour sessions with an expert teacher. The enrichment classes that we are offering are as follows:

· Art and Craft Class

· Piano Class

· Taekwando Class

· Mandarin Reading Class

· Additional Phonic Reading Class

Note:

We will only have the classes if we meet the required minimum number of students.
